Your body is a finely tuned machine. You might not believe that at this moment in time but please bear with me. Nature has provided you with a unique and remarkable vehicle, the control centre for which is your brain and it is here were we need to look to unlock the slimmer version of you.

Lets get back to basics your unconscious mind is driving 96-98% of your behaviour. Everything we do has a neural network or programme that when learned well enough runs automatic. That’s why when you find yourself craving chocolate or crisps and find yourself with this battle of will about having a desert or not we invariably lose and end up binging.

The more we resist something the more it persists, for instance if I were to say do not think of chocolate what ever you do. DO NOT think of chocolate. What happens? Your unconscious mind doesn’t process a negation and you think of the chocolate. Over time we learn that we need the high calorific food to survive and the programme becomes fixed and our habits become ever more difficult to break.

Sometimes, for a while at least we can consciously resist temptation but it’s hard work trying out the various dieting options and invariably reverting back to the old programme and putting back those few pounds we fought so bravely for and in some cases gaining even more. Sound familiar!

When we restrict our calorific intake sufficiently our bodies go into famine mode and store fat for survival. The weight loss we experience with the starvation type diets and zero carbohydrate type diets is invariably a loss of muscle tissue and water. So you end up being a smaller version but with virtually the same body fat, and when you begin eating normally your body, yet again for your survival absorbs the water and stores even more fat. We end up even bigger.

These types of diet are not only unhealthy they just DO NOT WORK.

If what your doing isn’t working you need to do something else. The key to success is changing your mindset and the way you think about food. Losing weight is EASY once you begin to work with your mind and body instead of against it. Our weight management programme will help you:

  • Change the way you think about food
  • Control cravings
  • Overcome emotional eating
  • Eat when hungry
  • Stop eating when you feel full
  • Reduce the amount of sugary, salty and fatty foods. But not deny
  • Focus on what you want rather than what you don’t want
  • Over ride the old programmes that have been a block to your success
  • Lose weight consistently even after you have finished the programme
  • Rid yourself of obsessing about food.

Now imagine yourself as you are now. Close your eyes and bring up a picture in your minds eye of how you look today, make it full colour, draw that picture closer brighten up the image double the size of the image. What do you see, how does it make you feel, what nasty things have been said about the way you look by others and by yourself, what are the long term health benefits of staying the way you are. How could this effect the rest of your life? Take a few moments with that image. Then set it to one side.

Now imagine a different picture. See your self at your ideal size, shape and weight wearing your favourite outfit and again make that picture full colour brighten up the image draw it closure to you double the size of the image, brighten up the colours notice how you are drawn to this picture close your eyes and notice what will be different how good you feel what will you be saying to yourself what might other people be saying to you, how do you look now having achieved your goal. Take a few moments absorb yourself in all those emotions. Think to future scenes of your life how have they been affected and what impact this has over the quality of your life.

Now take this picture and shrink it down in size and change it to black and white.

Take the first bright image in full colour life size close your eyes; place the smaller black and white picture in the bottom left hand corner. Have the large bright picture suddenly get dark, as the small dark picture simultaneously springs up to replace it and gets very big and bright. Do this process five times in a row very quickly and make the sound “swish “ each time. Make the last time really compelling by exploding the old picture into fragments.
